1. What is your current role and department?
Digital Banking Operations Specialist

2. How long have you worked at Chelsea Groton Bank?
19 years

3. What do you love most about working at Chelsea Groton Bank?
I have truly enjoyed working at Chelsea. The Bank is forever evolving, which has pushed me to continue to learn and adopt to new products and tasks, always learning something new! I have also enjoyed the sense of family and camaraderie I have felt over the years.

4. What are you most proud of in your work at Chelsea?
I deal with debit card fraud and disputes. So for me, my “win moments” are when I can help mitigate fraud losses and resolve claims that could have otherwise resulted in significant losses.

5. Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work.
I spend most of my time with my family and friends hanging out and having a good time. In the summertime, I am a beach bum, although I will not step a foot in the ocean – sorry, just not the tropical blue I am used to! I will say, this pandemic has turned me into a bit of an outdoorsy person. I have started to really enjoy going for long walks and hiking.

6. What types of volunteer activities do you enjoy?
I enjoy volunteering for the annual Penguin Plunge. I find it amusing to watch other people jump into the freezing cold water, but it’s for a good cause.

7. Share about a favorite personal or family tradition.
Christmas morning is not Christmas without Johnny cakes. What are Johnny cakes you may ask? Johnny cakes are pieces of dough, shallow-fried to form a crisp crust and soft middle, kind of like fried bread. They are eaten as is, or cut opened and served with butter or anything from cheese, lunchmeat and even Nutella. This is a tradition I have carried from St. Martin/ the Islands – there is even Christmas songs about them.

8. Do you prefer dogs or cats?
Dogs! We just got our first puppy Mango a couple months back, and are looking to get her a playmate soon.

9. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
I would love to travel to Tahiti or Bora Bora and stay in in one of those overwater bungalows for pure relaxation. But, I would also love to backpack around Europe with my family.
