I develop the financial education curriculum and resources available through Chelsea University, the Bank’s Community Education program. I teach several courses a week, currently all available online, for individuals, families and businesses, on a wide variety of topics. Available courses include traditional financial topics like budgeting, credit and buying a home; business topics include a small business series, QuickBooks classes, and social media for business workshops; STEAM and money classes for kids; programming for teens and young adults who have a bank account for the first time; and “hot topic” classes like how to help your kids with remote learning, preparing to be your parent’s caregiver, and more.
You can check out the upcoming classes and register to attend on our Events page. You can also sign in to our Learning Hub, to access resources on a variety of financial and career topics, and you can get small bites of financial knowledge by watching me on Facebook Live a few days a week.
I joined the Chelsea Groton team in July of 2017 and ever since, I have been working to educate and improve the lives of the members of our communities.
Prior to Chelsea Groton, I was the Marketing Director for Norwich Community Development Corporation (NCDC), where I developed public events in conjunction with other community organizations and city agencies, oversaw economic development activities, and managed NCDC’s traditional and digital marketing.
I am a graduate of Franklin Pierce University with a BA in English and Secondary Education. I am also a proud 2015 Southeastern CT 40 Under 40 Award recipient and recently became a Certified Financial Education Instructor.
