Katherine Allingham

A little about Katherine Allingham (Kate)

I joined Chelsea Groton Bank in 1999 as a Customer Service Representative, after working as a summer intern while in college. Before becoming Compliance Officer in 2008, I worked in the Bank’s Financial Services and Marketing departments. Over the years, I’ve taken on increasing responsibility for compliance and risk management, becoming Senior Vice President, Director of Compliance and Risk Management in 2022 and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in 2023. I was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2025.

As Executive Vice President, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, I oversee the Bank’s enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance programs, along with information security and cybersecurity governance and other independent risk and oversight functions.

I earned my bachelor’s degree cum laude from Wellesley College and am a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania. I also earned a Wharton Leadership Certificate and hold the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP) certifications.

My family and I live in Preston, and I serve on the Board of Directors of Rose City Learning Center.
