A Little About Alex Masse
Alex Masse, a lifelong resident of Southeastern Connecticut, has been a member of the Chelsea Groton Bank team since 1998, when he joined the organization as a teller in the Niantic branch. Throughout his career, Alex has taken on roles of increasing responsibility. He was Branch Manager in Niantic, Vice President and Assistant Director of Retail Banking, and then helped to establish the Bank’s Cash Management department.
Alex currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he leads the Operations, Loan Servicing, Security, Digital Banking, Business Intelligence, and Technology departments, overseeing initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen security, and expand the Bank’s digital capabilities.
Alex is a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking and the Connecticut School of Finance and Management. He has been recognized for his leadership with numerous honors, including the Chelsea Spirit Award, the American Bankers Association Forty Under 40 Award, and the Connecticut Bankers Association New Leaders in Banking Award.
Active in the community and the banking industry, Alex currently serves as Vice Chair of the Southeastern Connecticut Water Authority and as Chairperson of the Connecticut Bankers Association IT Committee. He has also participated in the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Leadership Program and has served on various boards within the community.
