Organization Name:  Mona’s House Animal Rescue
Location: 704 Gungywamp Road, Groton

What is the mission of your organization?

Mona’s House Animal Rescue advocates for less-adoptable pets.  We are an all-breed non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and finds homes for the older, medically needy, bully mixes and “less-adoptable” pets.

What do you love about your organization?

Our organization brings together animal-loving people for a common goal.  All our volunteers are passionate about doing the best they can for homeless pets. I love that our facility is staffed by compassionate experts who are dedicated to caring for the animals and helping them find their forever homes.

How has Chelsea Groton supported the organization?

Chelsea Groton has been incredibly supportive of our mission. They have hosted us at multiple bank branches for adoption events, enabling adoptions that might not have occurred otherwise. At the last adoption event held at Chelsea Groton, both dogs found their forever families, one to an employee’s friend and the other to a bank customer.

What do you love most about the local community?

We have a great community!  I am eternally impressed by the members of the community that reach out to help, share, donate, foster and advocate for the animals.
