Michael Hawes recently joined Chelsea Groton Bank as Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. Michael will work to develop commercial loan and commercial mortgage relationships with centers of influence across the Bank’s market areas.
“With over two decades of business relationship management, 12 years of which were dedicated in banking, Michael excels at simplifying his clients’ day to day operations to achieve their business goals,” said Rich Balestracci, Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Department Manager at Chelsea Groton Bank. “He takes the time to build a trusting relationship with his clients to truly understand the needs of their business in order to provide the most beneficial solutions. Most recently, Michael was VP of Commercial Business Development and Financial Wellness at People’s United Bank, Bridgeport, CT, where he grew new and existing business relationships throughout CT.
Michael lives in Oxford, CT, with his wife and two daughters. He is active in his community, and enjoys coaching his girls’ basketball and soccer teams.
