For 20 years, Tom Fournier has delivered mail with a smile! Whether he’s participating in the Bank’s Halloween contest or playing softball with the Special Olympics, Tom’s spirit is infectious. Learn more about Tom below!
1. What is your current role and department?
I am the Mail Clerk in the Administration Department.
2. What do you love most about working at Chelsea Groton Bank?
I love my job and working for June Holaday, who is the assistant to the Bank President and CEO. I love talking to people and saying “hi”, “good morning”, and “how are you doing?” as I walk the halls picking up and dropping off mail.
3. What are you most proud of in your work at Chelsea?
I am proud of myself and that I have been doing a good job at Chelsea Groton for 20 years.
4. Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work.
In the afternoon, I go with my Guide Mentor to the gym, restaurants, grocery shopping, and walking at Mohegan Park. In the evening, I dance in my basement, do chores, watch movies and play video games in my “man cave”, and help my parents with meals. I also enjoy playing with my nieces – Abigail and Robin. I play softball in the summer and bowl in the Fall with the Special Olympics.
5. What are some things you like to do to support the community?
I help and am nice to people. I donate to the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut, and I volunteer for the Bank’s annual picnic for The Arc of Eastern Connecticut clients. I also participate in Dress Down Days to help raise money for non-profit organizations through a program at work.
