Chelsea Groton Bank personal customers can enroll in electronic delivery of tax documents (1098, 1099, 5498). When you enroll, you’ll automatically be opting-out of receiving them by traditional mail.
In order to switch to electronic tax documents (and save a few trees, too!), follow these instructions prior to tax documents being released in late January:
Click your name in the top right corner if you’re on a computer or the person icon if you’re on the app.
Click Banking Services.
Click eDocuments.
Scroll down to the Document Delivery Preferences section.
You’ll see an option to click ‘HERE’.
Click on the word ‘HERE’ to review the disclosure, which will open in a new tab.
At the bottom of the disclosure, you’ll see a code.
Return to Online Banking and enter the code in the Disclosure Acceptance Code Box.
In the Person Documents section where “Tax Documents – 1098s, 1099s, 5498s” is listed, change the Delivery Preference in the dropdown to Electronic.
Click Accept & Update Preferences.
Tax Documents will now be delivered electronically. You’ll receive an email notification when they’re ready, and will be able to access them from the eDocuments page.
