Dana Chapel of Niantic, CT, has been named a Retail Lending Originator at Chelsea Groton Bank. In this position, Dana will work with customers throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island who are in need of a variety of lending solutions, from traditional mortgages to first-time homebuyer and affordable lending programs, to specialty financing and home equity loans. She is certified by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS# 523294).
“When it comes to Dana, one word comes to mind – connecting,” said Matt Morrell, First Vice President, Retail Lending Sales Manager at Chelsea Groton Bank. “Dana worked in Chelsea Groton’s Niantic branch for 24 years, most recently as a manager of the branch team, and a passionate lender. She has always been dedicated to supporting her branch customers as they work to reach their goals, and I know she will bring that same level of dedication to all of the prospective homebuyers she will work with in this new role.”
Most recently, Dana was the Customer Solutions Manager of Chelsea Groton’s Niantic branch where she assisted customers with their daily banking needs, including supporting them to obtain home equity loans and mortgages. She also taught financial wellness programming and worked closely with local community members. Dana is currently a member of Niantic Main Street and was co-president of the Eastern CT Chamber Leadership program. She was a past member of Niantic Rotary where she received a Paul Harris award. Dana is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and is a past recipient of the Women on Fire award.
