At Chelsea Groton Bank, our team members are passionate about their work, their community, and the connections they build every day. Today, we are shining the spotlight on Laura Kramer, AVP, Business Development Officer, who shares what makes working at Chelsea Groton special. From collaborating with incredible colleagues to giving back through local events and volunteer efforts, learn more about Laura’s role, proud moments, and life beyond the bank.

1. What is your current role and department?
I’m a Business Development Officer on the Cash Management team based out of Chelsea Groton’s Mystic branch.

2. What do you love most about working at Chelsea Groton Bank?
I truly appreciate the incredible people I get to work with every day. Their support, collaboration, and dedication make this a great place to grow. Beyond that, I love the Bank’s strong commitment to the community. There are so many opportunities to give back, whether through volunteering, participating in local events, or supporting charitable initiatives.

3. What are you most proud of in your work at Chelsea Groton?
I love hearing clients share how much they value this Bank and the positive impact we have in the community. One neighbor even told me that after being turned down by another bank because he’s self-employed, Chelsea Groton helped him secure a home loan, and now he has more than one!

4. Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work.
I’m on the board of the Mystic Irish Parade Committee. I also belong to a very fun book club, and I enjoy being outside walking, hiking, and enjoying my community.

5. What are some things you like to do to support the community?
I like to volunteer for beach clean ups, Earth Day activities, and fun Mystic or regional events. I also do a few 5ks and walks to benefit different non-profits in the area such as the local Out of the Darkness & Terry Brodeur walks, the Brian Dagle Jingle Bell 5k, and of course the Mystic Irish 5k.
