Find Chelsea Groton at the Innovation Center

Chelsea Groton Bank and the Chelsea Groton Foundation were proud to be early financial supporters of the Regional Innovation Center, and now the Bank is looking forward to assisting members of the region’s business community in a more hands-on way through two programs currently occurring at the Innovation Center (92 Eugene O’Neill Drive, New London).

Banker In Residence

Jen Willingham

Members of the Chelsea Groton Bank cash management team are available to answer all banking-related questions in person at the Regional Innovation Center on Tuesdays from 9am – 1pm during a Banker In Residence Program.

“Often times, people aren’t quite ready to schedule an appointment with a banker, but they may have a few questions on their mind,” explained Jen Willingham, AVP, Cash Management Officer at Chelsea Groton Bank. “Rather than leaving those folks to find answers that could be incorrect on the internet, we’ve decided to station ourselves at the Innovation Center. There’s zero obligation to bank with Chelsea Groton if you stop by with a question. Our intention is to simply be here as a resource for prospective and current business owners who are trying to make sound financial decisions.”

Through the program, the Chelsea Groton Bank team is prepared to provide education, offer connections to community resources and subject matter experts, and assist community members with accounts, loans, cash management services, transactions, and more.

“Whether your business is in its infancy or has been growing for years, and regardless of who you currently bank with, take this opportunity to chat with us and discuss ideas for building your business,” offered Willingham.

No appointment is necessary. Legal and tax advice will not be provided.

Lead, Read, Repeat Book Club

The Bank has partnered with the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT to host the Lead, Read, Repeat Book Club. The Book Club meets four times per year, and focuses on books that expand minds, teach something new, and strengthen leadership skills.

Miria Gray, the Bank’s Community Education Officer and the facilitator of the Lead, Read, Repeat Book Club, shared, “We can be leaders of self, leaders of teams, or leaders of organizations. Leadership skills may come naturally to some, but there is always an opportunity for development. Whatever your leadership position, this book club will focus on impacting your relationships with others.”
