About Alec
Alec Russell, currently studying accounting at Three Rivers Community College, recently joined Chelsea Groton Bank as a full-time Customer Solutions Representative (CSR). His path into banking began when Chelsea Groton’s Talent Acquisition Specialist visited his college in 2024 to promote the internship program. Unsure of his career direction at the time, Alec applied and discovered a passion for finance and customer service. So, when he was allowed to continue full-time, he took it.
Time at Chelsea
Alec enjoys the dynamic nature of his role. He feels as if every customer presents a new challenge. Alec also loves putting his problem-solving skills to the test. To him, the best feeling is walking away knowing he helped someone and potentially made their day a little better.
He also greatly values the culture at Chelsea Groton.

Beyond the Office
Outside of work, Alec leads an active lifestyle. At 12 years old, he began fencing with Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), but now fences Epée, Foil, and Saber, and proudly coaches at Lyme-Old Lyme High School. Alec also teaches Sunday school at Groton Bible Chapel and enjoys reading, running, and spending time at the gym.
He’s a fan of movies with great storytelling and loves spending weekends with friends playing games like Dungeons & Dragons.
