For the 2nd consecutive year, Chelsea Groton Bank is working with LAZ Parking to manage the two parking lots located at the Bank’s downtown Mystic branch location to improve the parking and overall experience for customers, and to support the local business community too, by helping people access parking in downtown Mystic.
LAZ Parking will manage both Bank-owned parking lots to ensure that Bank customers have ample complimentary parking while conducting their banking during regular business hours (Monday – Friday 8AM – 4PM, Saturday 9AM-12PM). Only those customers conducting banking business will be permitted to park in the lot. In addition, there are two designated spaces that are only to be used by Video Banking ATM customers around the clock.
When the bank is closed, patrons of downtown Mystic businesses are invited to park in the bank-owned lots for $5 per half hour, using the LAZ Text-to-Park technology, a quick, convenient, cashless parking system, in any space except for those designated for the VBM/ATM. Net profits from after-hours parking will be donated to the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) to be used in a collaborative way with the Mystic Downtown Merchants Association for events and initiatives that benefit downtown businesses. In 2022, Chelsea Groton Bank made a $12,775.48 donation in parking profits at the end of the summer season to the GMCC.
