Get to Know Alexis Smith

Alexis Smith

As Project Management Specialist, Alexis Smith is able to find ways to help her colleagues work smoothly and in a more organized way. It’s just one of the things she loves about working at Chelsea Groton Bank. Find out what else Alexis loves about Chelsea Groton below!

1. What is your current role and department?

I am a Project Management Specialist for Business Intelligence and the Project Management Office.

2. What do you love most about working at Chelsea Groton Bank?

What I love most about working at Chelsea Groton Bank is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It feels like a big family where everyone genuinely cares about each other. We work together like a well-oiled machine, and there’s always a sense of support and camaraderie, which makes every day not just productive, but genuinely enjoyable.

3. What are you most proud of in your work at Chelsea?

What I am really proud of is the work our team has done to develop and integrate Microsoft Teams across different departments and committees at Chelsea. We have many more M365 Teams in the works, but it has been a huge team effort! This transition is like bringing everyone under one big virtual roof, where departments can collaborate seamlessly. It’s all about making daily tasks smoother and more organized. Additionally, planning all the events with the ENGAGE team has been incredible, we are inspired by one another and find joy in bringing our colleagues together with celebratory events and activities.

4. Tell us a little bit about your life outside of work.

Outside of work, my life is a blend of quality time with my wonderful husband and enjoying moments with my friends. I find balance by staying active with workouts, perfecting my coffee-making skills, and baking something new to bring into work for others to enjoy. But nothing beats the simple pleasure of leisurely walks with our two pups, Bosco and Lila.

5. What are some things you like to do to support the community?

Whether it is volunteering at the animal shelter, joining parades to spread cheer, or participating in roadside clean-up efforts to keep the environment green, I push myself to go the extra mile because I know every little bit makes a difference. I am also looking forward to rolling my sleeves up and volunteering with my Chelsea colleagues to assist with building a shelter for Habitat for Humanity this summer.
