Out with the Abe and In with the New!

Chelsea Groton’s Norwichtown branch first opened its doors in 2002. During the opening celebrations, the parking lot was filled with community members and activities, including bounce houses, face painting, and even an Abraham Lincoln impersonator. Now, almost 23 years later, the Norwichtown branch has been reinvented!

The reinvented Norwichtown branch is filled with bright light and a welcoming atmosphere. Designed to promote connection and collaboration, the high teller line counter is now lower. The private meeting spaces help facilitate discussions with the Bank’s knowledgeable team, and integrated technologies are available to call in other experts as needed. Not only does the newly added Knowledge Bar offer complimentary coffee all day, but it also serves as a space where financial wellness programs will be held, and financial education and personal wellness books are available for borrowing from the lending library.

Another new and exciting addition to the Norwichtown branch is the Bank’s Coin Collection, which was donated to the Bank in 1986 by local Noank residents Frank and Dorothy Finnerty. Over 50 years in the making, this collection features old and unique coins gathered from across the country.

Stay tuned for information about upcoming networking opportunities, financial wellness programming, and other events at the Norwichtown branch.
