In keeping with its mutual philosophy, Chelsea Groton Bank announced today that its employees contributed $34,286 to the 2012-2013 United Way campaign. Chelsea Groton made a 50% match to employee contributions and donated $17,143. Overall, $51,348 in employee pledges and corporate matches will be invested in the community through the United Way of Southeastern CT.
“Giving back to our community is inseparable from our mission to serve our banking customers,” explained bank President and CEO Michael Rauh. “Shared trust, purpose and respect—our mutual philosophy—means we do everything in our power to advance the quality of life of folks who live in our neighborhood.” The donated funds will fuel a wide range of programs whose goals include:

78% of the Bank's employees participated in the United Way's capital campaign drive. In addition to financial contributions, Chelsea Groton employees also donate more than 330 hours annually to the United Way as committee members, volunteers, and members of the Board of Directors.
