Chelsea Groton Bank, a long-time community partner with the Fairview Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut, has made a five-year, $25,000.00 financial commitment, to Fairview's Land Development Fund. The Fund was established in 2011 to help offset the cost of new independent senior housing planned for Fairview's campus in Groton. The new independent housing will be in addition to 24 independent living apartments that currently exist.
A permanent sign will be placed near the entrance of a recently renovated building on the Fairview grounds in recognition of Chelsea Groton Bank's commitment to this project. The name "Chelsea Cottage" was chosen for the building which houses four new independent living apartments.
A formal acknowledgment of Chelsea Groton Bank's generosity will be held on August 7th at 3:00 pm at Fairview. The public is welcome to attend. Please contact David Brown, Director of Development at Fairview, if you need further information. He can be reached at 860-448-4722.
